MLB Trivia Time (Who am I?)
I am the only pitcher in MLB history to pitch a complete regular season game shutout in the month of March.

To be clear, who pitched a regular season complete game shutout in the month of March?

You mean in 150 years theres been only 1?

Theres been some opening day gems... Morris no hitter, etc, but those in April I guess.

Anyone do it last year while in Japan?

Nasher i might be to drunk but this makes no sense to me. No way there has been 1 pitcher only to pitch a complete game shutout in the month of march in a regular season game. If true that blows my frickin mind!

Most MLB seasons didn't start until April; it has to be in the last 10-15 years.

You know what that's a great point. I thought it only started that in like the last 4-8 years but none the less same point. That has to be the clue. The couple drinks got me again. Good call Drunker.

Makes perfect sense, season usually starts in April, if it starts in March it would only be the last few days

I'm surprised it was in 2003; I thought it would have been later than that.

LT got it, Nomo pitched his complete game shutout on March 31, 2003.

On March 30, 2018 Alex Wood, another Dodger pitched 8 innings of shutout ball allowing just one hit against SF and got a no decision loss.
Jansen in relief blew the game allowing Joe Panik to crush a solo homer off of him in the ninth.

Johnny Cueto started for the Giants on that opening day, matched Alex Wood pitch for pitch going 7 innings of shutout ball, also allowing 1 hit.

The two starters that day went 15 innings combined, allowing 2 hits between them allowed no walks and no runs.
That people is known as an old school pitchers due.

                                Here's the box.

San Francisco Giants beat Los Angeles Dodgers (1-0). Mar 30, 2018, Attendance: 53478, Time of Game: 2:23. Visit Baseball-Reference.com for the complete box score, play-by-play, and win probability

Not for nothing on that same opening day 2 years ago the Cubs and Marlins game went 17 innings with the Marlins winning 2-1 in the bottom of the 17th.

11 games were played two years ago on 3/30/2018 five of the 11 games had three total runs or less.
