          Start Schilling watch now, he's running out of time, but he has two years left...

          BOSTON -- Curt Schilling, the ultimate big-game pitcher, again fell short in his quest to be elected into the Hall of Fame. However, the former righty, who is on the BBWAA ballot for two more years, is clearly trending in the right direction. In fact, with no obvious first-ballot candidate

          However, the former righty, who is on the BBWAA ballot for two more years, is clearly trending in the right direction. In fact, with no obvious first-ballot candidate on the 2021 ballot, Schilling should have his strongest shot yet to receive the ultimate honor for a baseball player.

                        Dick Allen:
                        He led the league in runs (125), triples (13), extra base hits (80), and total bases (352);
                        Allen
                        finished in the top five in batting average (. 318), slugging average (. 557), hits (201), and doubles (38) and won Rookie of the Year.

                        Utley's
                        seven career World Series home runs are the most for a second baseman, and he shares the single-series postseason
                        record
                        of five home runs with Reggie Jackson and George Springer.

                              Schilling, Munson, and Allen would get the nod from me. Though, I’m fine with them leaving Curt out.

                              Screw Utley.

                              Wagner, and Mauer, no way.

                                      Mauer closest but the career stats need to be better since he played so many years at 1st

                                      Schilling no, not even best pitcher on any of his teams. Greener best in Phi, Pedro in Bos and RJ in Arz

                                                      I have a bias being from Boston and what he did in 2004, but 48 W.S. innings against the best competition with an era of 2.06. #bloodysock.

                                                      If he wasn`t so outspoken, he would have been inducted already. I don`t think he is losing any sleep over this. What keeps him awake at night is losing a huge % of his net worth on that stupid Rhode Island gaming business he started.
