not if there wasn't an extra home game for that team that year right?

plus I thought the idea was to have less pre season games, and those are unfortunately full price games even though fans don't really give a shit about them. So over all there shouldn't be more games and possibly could be less total games in certain years

Usually this is the better move as opposed to the greedy extra game models, like baseball going from 154 to 162. It's better to have fewer games and playoffs earlier, in better weather (for both, but more for baseball).

I'd guess that when you have that extra home game, you would pay more, and when you don't, pay less
because I can't see an NFL owner throwing fans a bone

I don't mind the extra playoff teams and 2 bye weeks would nice for the player's sake, but not a fan of the 17 games.

I kind of like the symmetry of 32 teams playing 16 games and 2 conferences of 4 divisions comprised of 4 teams.

Wish was like NBA...82 games LOL. I know not realistic given the punishment they take but:
MLB bunch of pussies twitter-talking each other instead of real fighting and a demented commissioner
NHL...nothing needs to be said
NBA...3 pt- 23 to 40 foot shooting marathon cause no one has real fundamentals or skills
XFL=bankrupt real soon
NFL is only major sport that I can watch and never get tired of.

Why not just extend the NFL season another week by having two bye weeks instead of one? Players would get their rest and recovery and fans get 1 more week of football.

17 games, odd number. So some teams would get an extra home game. 16 or 18 games, not 17. But maybe the goal is to force every team to have an international game in addition to their 8 home games..

Every team will have 10 home games. Half (probably one Conference) will play 9 games home and 1 pre-season game at home, while the others play 8 at home and 2 pre-season games at home.
