i did also see that oakland had complained to manfred before and he ignored it. maybe fiers felt he would be the one to finally make manfred have to do some work and get to the bottom of this. once fiers said something manfred moved his ass.

this makes no effing sense to me. We all agree that what Houston did was wrong but at the same time, it’s wrong if you snitch. To the dumb Ortiz who says he should have said something when he was an Astro, like the manager who lost his job or Brian McCann who got ignored.

Sounds like Ortiz just don’t like what Fiers did based on his principles and morals and no matter how Fiers had done it he would get criticized even though everyone condemns what Houston did.
