    Dez Bryant
"I'm feeling good," a smiling Bryant said in a recent off-the-cuff interview with Mike Doocy of Fox 4 in Dallas. "I'm just grinding. I'm just working and trying to get back to it. I love it. My vibe's right.

"I'm just trying to get back on that field and make some plays. I miss scoring touchdowns."

He racked up 73 of those in his eight-year career with the Cowboys, an all-time franchise record, along with 7,459 receiving yards. If he gets his way, Bryant will add to that tally and create more distance on that list between himself and Witten.

He is trying to get back to the NFL...one way or another

He'll be a decent, and nothing more, WR. That's assuming he loses his diva attitude.

FRISCO - The connection between the Dallas Cowboys and Christian Kirk came to us in an odd way. It was written about speculatively a few days ago, a blogger simply suggesting that it might be a good idea. Next came a Twitter account purporting that the "suggestion'' was "breaking news.''

But then we asked a source inside The Star about Dallas' willingness to solve its slot-receiver vacancy by making a trade for "a player like Kirk.''

And the answer is a general "yes.''

That's right. As it relates to Kirk, or Marquise Goodwin, or any other affordable slot receiver on the block, the answer is a general "yes.''

The 5-11, 200-pound Kirk was a second-round pick in 2018 by Arizona. He certainly does not register as a "bust.'' Last year, the 23-year-old he totaled 68 catches for 709 yards and three touchdowns and worked as a return man, too.

Why would the Cardinals dump a solid young player in Kirk? Arizona may be willing to move on after its trade for DeAndre Hopkins. Also, Larry Fitzgerald and Andy Isabella are available - and there is gossip about the Cardinals using this year's high pick on receiver CeeDee Lamb from Oklahoma, the former teammate of QB Kyler Murray.

But in the end, remember that this is a Dallas idea; it doesn't ever have to become an Arizona idea.

Isabella appears to be a good young receiver that needs time to develop

49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan wasn’t shy about his willingness to trade wide receiver Marquise Goodwin. Now he might have a suitor for the 29-year-old. The Dallas Cowboys are looking to add a slot receiver according to Sports Illustrated’s Mike Fisher. Fisher specifically noted Goodwin’s name alongside Cardinals receiver Christian Kirk.

San Francisco may not have a roster spot for Goodwin, so finding a trade suitor for him at any compensation would be a plus for the organization.

He’s due for a $4.9 million cap hit in 2020, and San Francisco only incurs $1.25 million in dead cap if they release or trade him. The signing of veteran receiver Travis Benjamin gives Goodwin added competition for his roster spot that was already in jeopardy.

Given the signs pointing toward his release, and his limited production the last two years, the 49ers’ top asking price probably won’t be more than the Cowboys’ 2020 seventh-round pick (No. 231). That’d give San Francisco three picks in the final round in this year’s draft.

The more likely scenario is probably a conditional 2021 sixth or seventh-round pick that conveys depending on whether Goodwin makes the roster or plays in a certain amount of games.
