Burrow, can’t get the starting spot at Ohio State, transfers to LSU ....
Only to break all college football records, win Heisman, win the Natty.....
Guess coaches at Ohio State are overpaid

He wasn’t that good in his first year at lsu. Haskins did well enough that he got picked in the first round. Hindsight is 20-20. Evaluating football players is hard. That’s why Tom Brady was a 6th rounder. This isn’t basketball.

LSU got some new coaching personnel this yr that’s the difference and changed archaic offense burrow thrived in it I suspect they worked on tons of stuff mechanics, reads, etc.

OSU offense is geared more to the quick running QBs versus Burrow that can run but not as speedy. He's a much better drop back pocket passer that fits better in a pro set versus a run option.

Bad scouting
Burrow is real deal
Buckeyes win the Natty if they give him the starting job
Simple as that

If you watch film of him last yr he’s different this yr. quicker tighter delivery more patient calm just watch bama highlights last year throwing into traffic and telegraphing passes new coaches “fixed” him now he’ll be stinky rich

What a treat to watch the solid confidence and pro skills in a college QB.
Great improvement for QB Burreaux this year, in no small measure due to 30 year old Joseph Brady as the passing game coordinator/wide receivers coach
for the LSU Tigers.
Most likely Burrows keeps his stripes going from a Tiger to a Bengal.

Baker and Murray could not win starting jobs either, but at least they were lights out first year as a starter. Burrow was average 250/1 to win Heisman.

So he did suck. Were Ohio State coaches were expected to think more highly of him?

Can't wait to see him in Bengal stripes. He could save the franchise by putting butts in seats in the following years. Otherwise they are probably gone in 2026.

he throws a nice ball with air under that lands right in the chest of the receiver on deep passes. not an easy art. doesn't heave it like a rocket but floats it in with good speed.

They didn't even give him a chance at OSU. I wonder why? Discrimination because he's white obviously

Going into 2017, Haskins and Burrow were competing to back up senior JT Barrett, with the winner of that battle in pole position to start in 2018. Burrow was ahead after the 2017 spring game, but he broke his hand in August. Burrow couldn't participate all of fall camp, and Haskins won the backup job by default. Burrow was stuck all 2017 as third string, since he never got any reps behind JT and Haskins. In spring of 2018, it was Haskins v. Burrow for the starting job, with Haskins already ahead based on 2017. Burrow actually outplayed Haskins during the 2018 spring game, but with neither person being named the starter going into fall camp 2018, Burrow opted to transfer instead of competing for the job in camp. Fields didn't show up until 2019. Burrow wasn't "tossed like garbage," by OSU. He broke his hand, was unable to practice much of 2017, and instead of risking sitting on the bench again in 2018, he graduate transferred with immediate eligibility. He got really unlucky in Columbus..
This is a good summary of how it went down with Burrow. I found it on another site

This would be even funnier 5 years from now when Joe Burrow does the unimaginable and wins a super bowl for the bengals and the best quarterback in the nfl can’t win the starting job at Ohio state. This is so football.

Haha, you're probably right. I was pissed when he left but now they have Fields for another year and signed 2 good QB's for this class, Stroud and Miller so I can't complain
