I’m sure the World Series win more than paid for the $5 mil fine. Losing a couple draft picks won’t matter either. The Astros organization got off easy. As they say, flags fly forever.

Luhnow/Hinch got the worst of it being fired. Be surprised who hires them again. Depends on what team wants to win bad enough.

Lunhow took over the 106 loss Astros and built them into the juggernaut they are now.

Major loss with Lunhow being out of the picture in Houston. He may be disliked in baseball but knows how to build a winner. After this season, another club will hire him. His teams won over 100 games the last 3 years

MLB draft picks are far less valuable than any other sports picks. Look what the NBA did to the Timberwolves over Joe Smith. They lost 5 years worth of 1st round picks.

5mil fine means nothing when the team made at least 5X that by winning the World Series.

An appropriate penalty would have been a $50 mil fine, and a revoked World Series. Similar when the NCAA has teams take down banners. Then lose an entire year’s worth of picks.
