    Live Betting

How many of you do Live Betting or how often?

Anything you like to look for? Better odds on a favorite that you like? O/U?
Bet the under after a fast offensive start?

    Good question tlk23.

I live bet here and there, Bovada is a good site for it.

Be careful on big live cushion bets though - good way to get burned!

The thing about live betting is that it's harder than it looks. The obvious play just doesn't win as easy as you'd expect. I have much more success pre game. Maybe it's just because of the stupid live juice.

It's a big trap when you're bored and you end up paying too much juice just for something to sweat/watch/do.

    Might as well watch porn.

It was a lot easier early on. There was significant over reaction to scores early in games. You would have a team -7 that gave up a td early to go down 7-0 and live line would move to like -2. Hockey still has good value. You can have a -200 fav go down 1-0 and get them at near a pick.

it’s definitely something worth having as a tool. My downfall is chasing a loser. Like under 50. Live line is 60. Bet it. Another score. Live line is 65. Bet it again.

Got crushed today on it one-half point on two games I lost. I'm done. I'm barely or rarely going to bet anymore after the NFL playoffs. That Seattle game put me on full tilt. They couldn't have made it more clear than ever on how that game was rigged. Everything was about a team in a hurry somehow getting a delay of game penalty. It makes no sense. Most retarded sports moment maybe of all time. Yet, nobody here seems to think that was really screwed up....

Ended up doing well yesterday with the Florida and Virginia O/U. Ended up betting the Unter at 66.5, 68.5 and 70.5 after the fast start. The original O/U was 54.

in order to use live betting you have to watch the game not scoreboard

Box scores really don’t tell you the whole story

Yes one thing specifically for live unders:

If 60%+ is on the original/closing over and I see the line drop underneath what it closed at live, and I also see it being juiced LESS as it holds lower than what the line closed at .. I’ll take under in that.

For example, Bills vs Texans o/u is 42.5 this weekend with 65% on the over. If I saw the live over drop to 41.5 (-105) and then drop to 40.5 (-105) LIVE I would be taking the under each time juiced at -115

Very good point Coach, what you're referring to is momentum.

Only watching live will give you a good idea of who truly has the momentum in a game.

The live lines change so quickly as well.

Still, best for hedging - but very addictive.

Momentum is very deceiving. It can always change by 180° after each quarter or half and there's nothing you can do about it. Even within the same soccer half one team can be pushing hard for 15 minutes and suddenly the momentum reverses and they are completely unable to mount another good attack for the rest of the game. Everyone might think "this team looks like total garbage today" after 10-15 minutes and then a huge comeback happens. Even those basketball teams which somehow manage to lose 32:8 in the first quarter make comebacks.

The best live bets are backed by pre-game research so you can jump on much better numbers when your team starts badly.

Lots of juice and the books see the game 10-15 seconds earlier than you do. Can be good for half time bets or in between quarters/periods with a few minute break.

It's good to hedge. What else is it good for? A game like Tennessee/Indiana. Tennessee was +450 or something ML when down 13 points. Right after Field Goal. There is value on teams that get behind and come back....

There are games where the line is off and you can get a better price if you wait. Also good for middles and hedges. Great for Polish middles.

The books pay for real-time from the leagues. Then there are the guys getting caught sitting in the stands talking on his phone the whole time relaying match data (probably for sharps). https://www.nytimes.com/2018/07/02/s...s-betting.html
