In the week 10 summary we saw this...

...When it comes to the units, we are still in that sideways or flat channel when you consider the longer term and still half a unit behind last year's finish but we have a very interesting development at the close of week 10...



Remember that little trick about the moving averages crossing? The trick where once they cross the market function continues in the direction it's headed, it has legs left. Well what better time to see it happen than right at the end of the week? Right after a turn upward even? Now those red and black lines don't actually cross but no matter what happens next, they're about to cross.

Week 11 should be a winning week for the UPSET Basket and it is looking like the market turn I predicted would follow a pop in the closer and units after all...

The simple moving average is by it's very nature a lagging indicator, served to confirm the trend movement but I'd say going 7-0 for +8.03 units sure fulfilled the prediction from last week.



REMEMBER, ALL CHARTS ARE THROUGH WEEK 11 (Nov. 9th).

We saw a further rise in the Fund units before seeing a little sideways move, which started to form that upper band...



The development we have worth noting this week is the 20 play simple moving average. Notice how it's slipped above the lower bollinger band.

I highlighted other instances where this has happened when the units rose. The condition doesn't last long and when we get into back testing, we can see that it goes for a good 5 plays, but it doesn't mean that there will be a direction change after those 5 plays.

I suspect we hit a top, expect that we ride sideways below that top, then break out one way or another.

I didn't put the line between season in that chart above but last year are the first 126 plays.

Here's last year's chart, let's hope thisyear doesn't do the same after peaking, but that initial sideways move after the peak is what I anticipate over the next few plays...

Not afraid to show where I've been Gold. The hardships, the losing streaks, just as much as the winning streaks.

With the above function, for example, you can, to a certain extent, get a feel for when to jump in and when to back off....sort of.

We are all watching in play out in real time.

The charts above involve all plays posted at SBR over the last two years, but here's what that strategy looks like longer term.

Not always sunshine and roses, a mere 41 Total plays and a 1-9 record against the OVER has put a dent in the KVB NCAAF Family of Funds...

...The lack of plays this year and this year's running avg. vs. the close performance has been a good illustration of something gone wrong in play selection. The two year charts show two different Funds and as a last straw here the running avg. vs the close is now .506.

That's just too close to .5.





I try to run this real time by example and sometimes even in losses, we get a good example.

Average vs. the close, units, and worse of all a lack of plays can lead to a sudden drop. I can't wait to bring this Fund back over the next season or so...

Honestly i wouldn’t do this if I tailed. I’m into the capping more than the action. Don’t get me wrong if I’m bored and do want some action I’ll pick one of ya’ll to tail every now and again but for most part not my style.
