Just a scumbag attempt to save himself some money and reduce his suspension. We all saw what happened, and we all saw what started it. Rudolph tried ripping his helmet off so he ripped his off. Besides all the evidence that it wasn't because of a slur, Garrett would have claimed this way before now had it really happened. Him and Smollett should hang out.

No defensive lineman has ever bashed a QB in the head with his own helmet. Ever.

That move was so moronic that there's no purpose in trying to break it down or make sense of it. The only people who would look to justify Garrett's ridiculous action are people who care more about the appearance of race rather than the inexcusable incident itself.
