Christmas has come early and Vegas is feeling generous. Giving the Hornets 2 points at home against the 1-7 Pelicans who are on the 2nd of a back to back. Looks like the kids are getting gifts this year.

Theres a dash of hyperbole sprinkled in there. Still don’t understand why Vegas has a hard on for this team sans Zion.

              A few things:

              1. The Pelicans aren't as bad as their 1-7 record. This team still needs to gel and they've played a brutal opening schedule, even their game against the Warriors was before Curry went down.
              2. Conversely 3 of the Hornets 4 wins were over the Warriors (no Curry, Green, Russell), Kings and Bulls.
              3. The Hornets play at the Sixers tomorrow, so there's a chance they overlook the 1-7 Pelicans.
              4. Despite a 4-4 record, the Hornets have a -7.6 point differential per game, while the Pelicans (who again have played tougher teams) are at -6.6.

This looks like a major trap line to me. In fact, I may have just talked myself into betting the Pelicans.

This certainly has not aged well. Looks like I’ll be picking up some overtime.
