#11For the OP... ask yourself this question... do you try to beat the Sportsbooks at what they are best at? Or do you try to beat them at what they are weakest at?
If you were offered a million dollars to beat LeBron James in either a game of Chess or a game of Basketball... which game would you choose?
Same question... but this time with Garry Kasparov. Which game would you choose?
You are not required to try to beat the sportsbooks at what they are best at. This is the BIGGEST mistake sportsbettors make. Figure out the sportsbooks weaknesses... and you MIGHT have a chance.Comment -

#13I see it is time to put my boots on again. That is how deep the caca is getting in here. Shocka, the only condo you could afford to buy is a burned out one in Detroit. How much money are you going to claim you have won this season?Comment -

#20There's definitely a learning curve to sportsbetting... You have to have some innate ability but also be willing to lose and learn from your mistakes. It's an acquired skill that takes serious dedication. If your approach is strictly recreational, you can forget it... The books will chew you up and spit you out.Comment -

#26I won 40 k in 6 weeks probably past even at this point. Years of losing but like eddy said you have to grow and learn. I make 100k plus a year at work even if I could make that gambling I’d still go to work the stress and time beats me down mentally. Sometimes even when winning it gets old. Win or lose at the end of the day your family is all that will matter in the end. Cherish it.Comment -

lol true. id be lying if I said I didn't get into crypto because of gambling. god bless the Atlanta falcons for gagging away that Super Bowl. because those 3 week waits for the checks weren't going to cut it for ol shocka.... never padded a bank roll so much in a 4 month period. New England, North Carolina in CBB and then Golden st and the Pens... was about the greatest run I've ever had.Comment -

Cherish it.as soon as the income increased, the pressing need for action dwindled away and viola, the bankroll magically increased exponentially. will go days and sometimes weeks without placing a bet but can magically turn a 5 figure year with ease at this point.

#32It's odd that most people just won't quit when they are ahead.
They lose a bit and they chase.
If people would simply quit after a profit it would be a game changer.Comment -

remember the losses, especially the dumb ones and the dumb bets so you don't repeat them nearly as often down the road

#35i have lost way more than i won. most is my own fault playing winnings in the casino online foolishly. i make sure now to suspend the casino on the sites i use b/c i admit it can be a problem for me. when i just bet sports now i tend to have more winnings but nothing life changing. i do it for enjoyment and hoping to make back a car payment overall. i don't bet a lot but i bet enough to have fun and be happy with winnings.Comment
