This might be a stretch, but is there any way the Nats over exaggerated Max's injury? Lining him up with Grienke on extra rest looks a lot better than lining him up with Cole. I can't imagine they actually did, but it really does set them up a lot better - they weren't going to beat Cole game 5 either way.
