I’m sure wouldn’t have mattered but sure that it was puzzling them not stopping clock for unc there on last drive. Doesn’t even matter if they called his forward progress stopped before going out, he got a 1st down so clock should have stopped while they moved chains.

Either way Wake looked like the better team. Good call bud.

I was thinking the exact same thing... Seems all the talking heads conveniently overlooked that aspect of the play. It makes complete sense to keep the clock running if he's short of the sticks and his progress is halted while still in bounds, but he obviously made a first down and the clock should have stopped for that very reason.

Aside from that, the UNC player was a complete doofus for leaving it up to the officials. He had every chance to sprint to the sideline and stop the clock. It's almost as if he went out of his way to NOT stop the clock.

Just seemed really curious the official did the run the clock motion on a 1st down? I was thinking is this the nfl? I’ve never seen that before in ncaa gm! Lol. I mean I don’t even know the odds that they can get up to line and snap w 1 second once the chains are set? Only thing I’m sure about is that runnin clock made all kinds of no freaking sense!

That play was 4th and 1 correct?? So not like 1st down could be in any question. Lol. That all I kept thinking while they were bitching and arguing bout whether his foot was out of bounds. Plus if they blew his forward progress stopped that woulda had to been before 1 since his foot went out w 1 second!

End of day prob doesn’t matter but crazy nobody mentioning the fact in no ncaa universe should the run clock motion been given! Lol

They didn't stop the clock because they called forward progress in the field when he was in bounds, right call.

No it was not. Clock stops in college on every 1st down. That was a 1st down so when whistle blows the clock stops to move chains every time!! It why 2 minute drives so much easier in ncaa,
