Still +17.30 over ALL Sports the past year (so +56.88 across other 5 leagues), just hoping I don't give it all back in MLB.

Thankfully football is here so finally something else to bet on.

611 plays LT, are you on pace or still a little behind in play generation? I know you were concerned when you weren't getting as many triggers. Did things catch up?

The Contrarian Fund has 567 plays as of yesterday but when you add the Contrarian Rl Fund's 95 plays I have 662 MLB plays tracked at SBR.

I'm ok with my number, I think things are moving along at a relatively normal rate and am not surprised at some of the market volatility this week. Things have been pretty flat last couple of weeks.

Yeah, I remember you saying you were behind pace.

That's kind of a double insult to the strategy, less overlay and big losses, but not necessarily the end of the world.

It's also a little give back from that big year you had not too long ago. That was going to be tough to hold onto all those gains for a couple years, you probably know that.

Probably best to compare to closing lines at the books you bought, but however compared, what's your avg against it this year?

Not as good as past years, which has been part of the problem. An outside source has my BTCL this season at just 54.6%, I have historically been in the low 60s.

Well, that's less plays against the market, decreased performance against over still a bunch of plays, and then of course the negative units.

Add a little adverse variance and bam things go south quick amidst a perfect storm.

Interesting to see what happens here as the season unfolds.

That's because there is a program running.

Some of us, you included Piler, are not doing it to look good in front of others. It makes it easier to run a whole season and deal with the variance.

It can be tough when, like LT and I, we've come back from big time trouble in the past to watch things even out and reach expectations. We know not to jump out of the boat when the sharks are circling.

So when those sharks just don't go away, it's a little strange.

It's really not about a season too, it's a long term thing here and LT had like a +90 unit season not long ago.

Variance cuts both ways and these markets can really drag out sometimes, and turn quick like bettors often anticipate...much to their demise.
