    Shame on the Yankee fans

Perfect day for a mid-summer matinee game at the Big Ball Orchard in the South Bronx and all those empty seats.
You have a rare chance to see Greinke and Tanaka start and you don't call in sick.
I don't care what the official attendance is, can't be more that 25,000 actual people in the stands.

And to the 1000 pound dude in the front row wearing the Nautica shirt.
Four words "salad, look into it."

Agree with the OP. A little humid, but 86 degrees. Yep, perfect for enjoying a cold beverage and watching a ball game and chatting with fellow fans.

So many other things to do in NY and it's mid day. Not surprising.

That's correct, however it's tickets sold not tickets used.
A game advertised as sold out is sold out whether the season ticket holders show up or not.

Me too, been eating, sleeping, and shitting baseball since the age of six, however I don't go to 20 games a year anymore.
Used to be 12 dollars to sit behind the catcher, now it's 100 dollars plus.
I don't have 10 dollars (well I do but that's not the point) for a 16 ounce draft.

Used to go to the bowling alley 20 feet across the street from the old Stadium and drink long necks for 3 bucks a pop then go into the game in the fourth inning or so.

    Nobody will take that contract.
Haven't been a Yankee fan since Girardi took over, I have a strong dislike for that drill sergeant but that Stanton contract is mega bucks down the toilet.

Exactly right. Then if you want tickets you have to go to stubhub or vividseats and pay double what the tickets are worth, which for Yankee games are already overpriced.

That used to be true a few years ago, but now there are several sites out there (if you want to wait an hour or two before first pitch) where you can get game day tickets up to 80 percent face value. Verified.
