If building a wall was a simple and inexpensive way to keep bad people out of this country then I would be for it 100%. But what will it ACTUALLY accomplish?
There are multiple articles online stating why building a wall won't work. Below are just a few reasons.
1. A lot of undocumented immigrants are already here.
The president implies that a border wall will keep out droves of undocumented immigrants each year. But new Department of Homeland Security (DHS) data reveals that a main source of illegal immigration into the United States are people who arrive legally then overstay their visas.
2. Cartels can outsmart checkpoints.
Trump seems to think that a wall can stop the flow of drugs and guns across the border. But if anything, the 650 miles of wall that already exist have made it easier on Mexican cartels to organize and control the transportation of illicit goods.
3. Terrorists aren’t undocumented.
Trump has proclaimed that building a wall on the Southern border will thwart terrorists. Yet there is no evidence that any terrorists have ever entered the U.S. through the Mexican land boundary, and the Department of Homeland Security has long held that it has “no credible intelligence to suggest terrorist organizations are actively plotting to cross the southwest border.”
Not to mention, the types of illegals that Trump says he wants to keep out the most will likely laugh at the wall. There are multiple ways to get over or around most walls. The video below illustrates this:
My gut tells me, even if a wall is built it likely won't change much. It's just going to cost a shitload of money. If it works, great! But if it doesn't, it wouldn't surprise me at all. How long is it going to take to build this thing btw? What will happen if/when Flyboard's become more common?

Silly libs still don't think walls work, just ask Israel if their giant border walls work or not.. Will a new US BORDER Wall fully stop illegal immigration no it will not but it WILL certainly slow it down!!!
It will slow down the onslaught of them coming on foot and just walking across open border areas with no resistance or wall at all..
I've watched documentaries on border crossings - They need to build the new border wall on the rio grand river where they all float in across on rafts, alot of drugs come across there as well.. That would be a good start and build spot.

The Florida/Cuban illegal crossings have been curtailed to just about nothing
