@JJ this is in northwest DC I believe. Southeast is the worst area of DC, the area where this event is held, the nearby apartments are worth $1M.

Isn't this essentially at the wharf? That isn't NW. It is nicer now but when I used to be out there was ghetto as hell. Kirwans is a good pre-game Irish Pub but pricey. That area has come a LONG way.

I would be attending a day or two on the weekend. I would not be taking off from work. Generally I'm a PTO saver, meaning save up 5+ days, then take week off, travel Friday to the following Sunday internationally (9-10 days).

I would be coming from Gaithersburg, MD. I would metro in but I hear there really isn't any close stations to Rock Creek (might be wrong, have not googled it, just remember from convo I had with coworker last year).
