Kind of the same thing as banks, and grocery stores, yada yada. They can't knowingly accept, store, transfer, etc offshore gambling funds. Gemini is in violation of the law if they knowingly do so.

Oh I know and I’m banned from coinbase and cashapp already. Just surprised it took Gemini 3 years or so to send this to me.

These days for tax purposes, I only buy and sell for cash deposit. No trace of bitcoin.

To avoid paying $5-$20 in tx fees when standard fees were insane. Once I did it for months in 2017 and they never banned me, figured what the hell, continued. Haven’t used them since December or January in any capacity though, surprising to receive that email months later.

They must have added software that can find gambling transactions on May 7th. Took them a week to find mine from way back. About time.

It blows my mind to see how people get their exchange LOCKED OUT because of wagering. What do you guys do all day? Do you send 10-15 transactions weekly?

I've been sending from Gemini straight to books for the past 2+ years. But I don't do it on a regular basis.... on an avg... probably 2 transaction every 3 months or so. Nothing in my email... no lockouts....

Don't get worked up, I find this situation a joke and it does not bother me one bit. Gemini can take their 1% exchange fee and shove it. If I use an exchange again, have several other 0.25% options. Probably averaged 1-3 transaction a week when actively gambling (I binge for a week or two, win or lose, cashout if applicable, come back in 2-4 weeks).

I'm not worked up about anything. Very rarely do I ever send funds from a book back to Gemini. Think I did it 3 times in 2+ years. If anything... purchase the BTC from Gemini... and then send. Of course Gemini wants your business.... but you shouldn't be using Gemini as your exclusive BTC wallet. Money coming in and going out. That will shut you down for sure.

Or someone else they asked confirmed a books bitcoin address and they have traced all transactions with coins linked to the same end destination.

I'm interested to see what they want you to sign though.

I'm wondering how sure they are of their claim as well. That document may give clues.

Drugs generally hinder sexual performance. Molly for example would cause ED. Friend gave me a viagra pill to take with molly/mdma when me and my girlfriend rolled on our anniversary when I was 19.

I know acid, heroin, opiates have similar negative effects (from stories of people who have used them).

Why would you store your coins at Gemini? What happens if Gemini claims there's correlation while you move your funds around in regards to gambling? They could technically freeze your account (including your coins.) I would put my coins somewhere else...
