    Depends degree of acne, if just diffuse red papules, a couple weeks of topical retinoids daily, followed by benzoyl peroxide facial wash daily maintenance. Pustular acne requires antibiotics, if scatteredpustule, I like clindamycin/BPO topically, if diffuse pustule two weeks oral doxycycline or minocycline followed by daily BPO face washes. If severe long untreated and nodules have developed, likely need two months on oral antibiotics. If menstrual related acne, daily spironolactone or birth control.
