The athletic shoes offered today are garbage...color, design and construction.
If there were no advertising, hype and peer pressure involved an alert consumer
would walk right past the shoes.

Most of the Nike haters don't have 2 wooden nickels to invest. Look at how so many of them here at SBR was calling for Nike to crash after the Kaep commercials, while the stock has gone up 20% ever since.

How many people remember when the NBA banned the Air Jordan? People thought NKE stock would have plummeted back then as a result. What did Nike do? Create a marketing avalanche promoting that the shoe was so good that it was outlawed. I know I bought 2 pair that same week.
