Flipped a poker table at local Caesar’s property near me 2 years ago...floor made me pay a bet of $600 for “forward motion” which I argue I did not do. Saw the floor’s decision as stealing from me so I let him know my thoughts. I can take 1 or 2 out bad beats all day but moment you try stealing from, no. Chips went everywhere and now im perma banned from all Caesar’s properties.

My dream of playing in the WSOP and final tabling an event will never be possible 😔

almost got thrown out of Harrahs after they kicked my bet at a roulette table in which of course the ball landed on the exact fukin number I had bet (would've been the second time I hit it in one night)...not a fan of Caesar's properties...

The ante is also the big blind so it will cost 2100 a round at the first level, so these chips will go quick.

The rake free first bullet is enticing considering that they take out 65 from number 2.

These WSOP folks are creative if nothing else.

    Where do you see this?

The structure sheet has ante for 200 100-200 blinds the first level.

If it's only the big blind ante they usually state it.

Thanks sweep. The structure isn't so fast then. Quite a deal for 500 bucks rake free. Should get lots of new players.

How much of the BB ante rule is tied to the old Prahlad Friedman vs Lisandro fiasco?

RIO is a ghost town after the main. That's what they don't want to happen. Plus lots of people going for the Main and are there for a week will play something else if they bust in the first 3 days. When I busted the Main last year I just left Vegas because I didn't feel like playing the smaller tournaments elsewhere and they didn't have any good $1500's or under besides the RIO dailies.

can anyone advise how easy it is to go from nothing but online poker ever to playing live? used to 16 table but that doesn't mean much in this scenario. I just don't wanna fukk up a raise or call or whatever due to not being able to estimate stacks/pot from live experience

im sure i am making this a bigger deal than it is but last thing i want is an angry fukkin table

As someone who has played 5 million+ hands of online hands from old databases I can tell you it's not a difficult transition. Just verbalize all your actions if you aren't sure how things work on the live felt.

I remember my first tournament at Foxwoods I put a 1k chip in thinking it was a raise at 200-400 blinds but then the two people next to me called. I literally said "Dealer, I raised to 1k). I had no idea placing the one chip meant I was calling if I didn't say Raise.

It's the WSOP. People are generally friendly and will help you with anything you need to know. I remember a guy threw a chip at me once and I had no idea what he was doing it for. He's like can you make change? I was so confused.

This event would be the perfect tournament for someone new to live poker and wanting to play a WSOP event.

Thank you for the informative post.

That is what I was thinking as well, this event would most likely be full of fukkin fish and guys there just to have fun and maybe win a few bucks.

I'd play this tournament but the problem is if you make it to Day 2 you are stuck playing in a $500 tournament for 3 days. If you play an earlier flight it could even be 4 days. As it is I take 3 vacations not counting my WSOP trip during the summer so I'm not gonna waste 3 days of my time in Vegas on a $500 tournament. I'd rather play a $500 2 day tournament somewhere else on the strip if I'm gonna do that.

The truth is in events this buy-in size you're going to get a lot of first time live players with a lot LESS poker experience than you. Some guys have no idea what is going on, and for the most part, it's not a big deal.

So as much as you think you're going to lack in just the basics of live action, they'll be many more guys that have even less of a clue than you.

I'd say take the shot. With these blind and stack sizes, you'll feel very comfortable after this tourney to play a lot more live tournament action.
