The promos going on right now are too good to pass up, driving up there just for them. draftkings will match up to a $500 bet with a free play of the same value, ceasars and sugarhouse have crazy promos as well. basically play your kids right with all these free monies and you will walk out with more than you come with

Borgata the play for everything really. Casino, restaurants and so forth.. maybe if you feel like going on an adventure, White House subs for lunch or you can go to their location at the hard rock since you're trying to avoid the city.

Ocean resort and casino blows dik if were being honest. sports book is the only nice part but the lines are a little much IMO.

Borgata has a sportsbook, but it sucks. It has individual seating with booths like Vegas does, but the bar has no seating. Also the last time I checked, the parlay odds were horrible. The room is tiny.

It's not that bad. There's a giant outlet and restaurants, completely normal, right off the strip. Ac is very small. There's like 3 streets of ghetto.

Oh oh by the way it’s winter time. It will be 30 degrees and 25 mph winds fri & sat. Sunday chance of snow.

It's news to me why people think AC is so unsafe.

I have been going there for just about every weekend for the past 20 years and I have never felt unsafe. But then, I stay in casino hotels and gamble in the casinos only and not venture out anywhere into the city outside of boardwalk.

But who needs to wonder into the city anyway if you are there to gamble?

It's the idiot and shit luck gamblers you need to watch out for if anything.

Also, my high school Physics teacher who was a NASA astronaut told me "there is no free lunch". There is no such thing as free monies as there is always a catch.

I read DraftKings' promo deal and it sounds pretty fair. If you bet the opposites with the promo money and if you have the winning side with your cash bet, then you are guaranteed money no matter what happens.

I don't know what free monies you are referring to at Caesars or SugarHouse, but I haven't seen any of that and I get fliers from them all the time. Caesars do not even a sportsbook but the next door Bally's does.

SugarHouse does have matching up to $250, but you have to be a NJ resident to bet online and it's only the online offer.

All the soortsbooks in Atlantic City are temporary right now, they will be making improvements within the next year.

As far as getting shot/mugged, stay on the boardwalk and in the casinos, they have some nice shopping outlets there as well, but with the good comes the bad. Stick with staying in the casinos and on the boardwalk. I wouldn’t wonder too far off the boardwalk. I’ve been going to Atlantic City for years and never had any issues.

Even on the boardwalk, keep your eyes open.. it's not like there's going to be tons of people walking around in the cold. Plenty of questionable creatures around AC.

Don't get to go too often anymore, but in my 20's into 30's, we all went down a LOT for poker. Haven't even been there since books opened, just do on my phone.

Harry's Oyster Bar at Bally's is a nice spot for some seafood if you're down that way at all, with games on the TVs.

AC not a scary place, just don’t wander down dark streets away from the casinos at night. Stick to boardwalk and near casinos and you’re fine. I’ve never been in the wintertime but have fun! In your situation I’d say just Uber everywhere.
