Two best matches for me this year were:

1) Isner vs. Zverev in Miami. Was a refreshing change of style after so much Fed/Nadal domination. I especially liked how Isner changed into a yellow shirt after turning the tables.

2) Fed vs. Novak @ Paris Masters. Fed came surprisingly close to winning that, and I think he's keen to have a couple more cracks at Djokovic before he retires. Australian Open will be interesting.

So we got Djokovic vs Anderson is semi finals 1 and Federer vs Zverev in semi finals 2.

I don't see any way it's not Djokovic and Federer in the finale.

Joker hasn't dropped a set, hasn't even been broken on serve all tourney and Federer since losing to Nishikori has steam rolled Thiem and Anderson.

I hope Federer beats Joker, but hard to bet against the best player right now

1. The ball boy dropping the ball and the point gets replayed...
2. Fed only point loss on serve was easy volley he hits 95% of the time, just hit it into net

good win on Zverez, but damn I think that should have gone to set 3

I took a chance early with Federer -1.5 sets at +104. Missed out on my flip flop and only got Zverev at +102 ML. Made a whole $2.50 or so, but better than a loss I guess

Do you think Zverev was that good today, or is Fed intentionally limiting his exposure to Djokovic to times when he's feeling in tip top shape?

Djokovic will is/will be the tennis greatest of all time, but his style is too wacky. Dominant Fed was always more of a pleasure to watch.

It's silly to suggest Federer is avoiding Djokovic. Think people are spoiled when it comes to RF & still think he's gonna win every match at 37.

Yeah but what about stuff like Murray entering and withdrawing from tournaments just to mess with the bracket. I don't think these guys are above strategic losses. I don't see Fed grinding it out in challengers for the next five years. His legacy is the only thing keeping him around a this point. Looks better to lose to Zverev than rack up another loss to Djokovic.
