If Nationals win tonight Scherzer pitches final game
Regardless of whether the Dodgers win or lose today Max has stated that if Sunday's game is "meaningful" to the NL West race he will pitch for the integrity of the game.

Rockies better win tonight and hope the Dodgers lose their game, or they run into a buzzsaw on the final day of the season.

Scherzer had a great start last time out, but he has been anything but a buzz saw the last month and a half

I would not want to face Scherzer with the division title on the line.

BS. He’s doing it for the Cy Young. Gullible if you think otherwise.

Not really, deGrom SHOULD already have Cy wrapped up.

Also, if Dodgers win today, Scherzer will pitch no matter what happens in Nats/Rockies tonight. The only way he gets shut down would be if Dodgers lose and Rockies win, as Colorado would then clinch division.

Hes either being truthful or he is delusional.

The Cy young race is flat out over. Degrom should be the unanimous choice. Numbers are not close.

You and I think the cy young race is over, he may not. He leads in innings pitched, strikeouts, wins. Look at the idiots like Harold Reynolds and Mike Wilbon who thinks old school. If they had a vote and there are people like them voting, they will vote Sherzer. Do you really think Sherzer cares what happens to the national league west standings? People always act selfishly, but can’t say it. Like I said, you are gullible if you believe him. One more start to pad the stats is all he cares about.

There are players who sit out final games because they lead in batting average and they didn’t want to mess with it, do you think they care about integrity of the game then?

The Nats have already come out and said he would only pitch if the game was meaningful. If he was doing it for the Cy Young, the Nats could have simply said Scherzer is a competitor and wants to pitch.

If Scherzer pitched a world record 100 inning extra innings game outing shutout

he still would have a higher ERA than Degrom
