Also, if Dodgers win today, Scherzer will pitch no matter what happens in Nats/Rockies tonight. The only way he gets shut down would be if Dodgers lose and Rockies win, as Colorado would then clinch division.

You and I think the cy young race is over, he may not. He leads in innings pitched, strikeouts, wins. Look at the idiots like Harold Reynolds and Mike Wilbon who thinks old school. The Nats have already come out and said he would only pitch if the game was meaningful. If he was doing it for the Cy Young, the Nats could have simply said Scherzer is a competitor and wants to pitch.
