Logan Forsythe- to keep LA under the tax

A double A kid rated 19th in the Dodger system and a scrub gas can as the 3rd dude

Just a dumpster fire in MN

Should have just qualified him then taken comp pick in draft

    Ridiculous

I don't get this trade from the Dodgers perspective either.

How many years left does Dozier have on his contract?

Agree. But with Turner banged up, Machado has to play third and Taylor short.

Okay, that makes more sense. I didn't realize Turner was hurt. Any idea on his prognosis?

Why do you say that? You got something out of him, when you could've had nothing. And who knows, maybe he will re-sign with you guys.

Utley and forsythe are beyond atrocious at this point.

Good move. Rosier not having a great season but a nice stretch run and post season could get him a lot of money somewhere next year.

Forsyth is the worst player on the Dodgers. They were probably going to release him. What a steal.,.

Twins are a very poorly run organization. Mauer’s contract is a killer and Buxton is a giant bust.

Yeah, a late 1st round pick is worth way more than 3 scrubs. It’s not like Dozier would have accepted the qualifying offer.

I like the trade from the Doyers perspective.
From the Twin's direction, not so much.

    Utley is one of the best pinch hitters in the league. If everyone is healthy the Dodgers are stacked;

    Pederson- CF
    Machado- SS
    Muncy- 1b
    Kemp -LF
    Bellinger- RF
    Turner- 3b
    Grandal - C
    Dozier- 2b
    Pitcher

Bench (Puig, Utley, Taylor, Hernandez, Barnes, Verdugo)

No way is Chris Taylor on the bench.

    Put him in center.

He was put back on the DL with a groin strain. I think they’ll be cautious in bringing him back. They need him to be completely healthy for the stretch run.

Getting rid of AJ Pierzynski for Joe Nathan & Francisco Liriano remains one of the best trades this decade.

That deal is very overrated IMHO

Pierzynski was an All Star caliber catcher for another 8-10 years after that.

Liriano had .75 seasons of all star play

Nathan was a closer- there were plenty of other options to fill that position

It cleared room for Mauer behind the plate, but 7 years later Joe was at 1st base??? Couldn't we have moved Joe to RF or 3rd and kept AJ? Used Rincon/ Crain at closer (similar ERA, more KOs) with Perkins called up in 06 anyway...spent the money to keep Loshe or Garza, who I think is still pitching. I mean Pierzynski is a career .280 hitter, and frankly that might surpass Mauer by the time his slide is finished. He's got more HR, more RBI and was a firebrand leader...

I liked AJ and felt the transition to Mauer really stifled what the Twins had going for them in the early 2000s
