So it's a branding deal. Seems cheap, no idea if it's going to pay off, but will be interesting to watch.

All NBA bettors are dead money, so the more the merrier.

          Only the beginning.

Remember the DraftKings & FanDuel commercials?

Will we now see sports betting commercials regularly?

They will be able to use team names and logos as well as city/state on betting boards and app. A nice feature to have in expanding markets. Also gives them a little goodwill when the league relocates or awards a new franchise to Vegas in the next 2-5 years.

NBA gets their desired "integrity fee/blackmail" money and MGM one ups all the other books for peanuts to their overall cash flow.

I don't know yet if they'll get the integrity fee, doesn't look like that was disclosed. MGM can all use the NBA's data, straight from the NBA. That'll be useful.

In general I agree if betting Totals/Sides (NBA is a tough nut..), however, props and derivatives are another story.

That 25 mil covers the integrity fee without calling it an integrity fee.

As part of the deal, MGM will use official N.B.A. data on its betting platform and work with the league to detect and prevent fraud and game-fixing. MGM will also have the right to use N.B.A. and W.N.B.A. marks and team logos, and it will work on a coordinated marketing plan with the league."

Prevent fraud and game fixing, lol. OK!

Ya, that is hilarious. This league by far has more shady ass finishes on a night to night basis. I am sure by partnering up with a sportsbook they will make sure to get to the bottom of it.

Doubt they offer much of that at MGM books.
