Women's sports getting scholarships of any kind are a travesty towards the football players who generated that money.

Even on football teams only maybe 1/2 the guys are on scholarship. There might be 70 guys on a team but 30 are practice squad and many others never see the field.

That's why on senior days they always announce dudes you've never heard of. They were practice squad basically.

I'd say mens basketball is the toughest because you have to be elite as penetrate to get one of the 8-10 spots.

Tennis or baseball in college means you're too pussy to go pro.

Hardest is Football , not as many teams as basketball and baseball with Community Colleges , DIII, etc .
Easiest would be probably baseball , there's so many colleges outside D1 , simply due to the higher quantity available .

Each baseball school has like 11 scholarships available. Not as many as everyone thinks.

Athletically it’s probably football, soccer for girls, but none of them are particularly easy to get

but community colleges and D3 schools don't have athlete scholarships period anyways.

based on pure #'s there are more football scholarships available then any other sport EASILY

track gets alot, but they are usually split into lots of partials. so many types of events plus they lump cross country in there usually too

lots of competition for those spots BUT the numbers are less and less every year due to concussion worries. more traditional jock type athletes going with football, baseball ect. best of the best in baseball, many go straight to professional baseball anyways with the huge # drafted. lots of 18 year olds are ready to take a small bonus, get away from home and books, and ride a bus, fuk girls, drink beer and see small town usa

I’d argue the easiest is football, in that if you work hard enough and stick around, you can be awarded a scholarship. There’s 85 scholarships in D1 football and nearly every team has players that start off as walkons, and eventually get put on scholarship. Texas had an almost 30 yr old former navy seal or army ranger, hadn’t played football since HS, try out for their team and eventually started at long snapper a few years ago. Football is the only sport where if you are a good athlete, you can get a scholarship without ever having really played the game. If you work hard and are athletic, the coaches will teach you the game.

Basketball is the hardest. Only 13 rides.

For girls probably easiest is softball. Most every college has a softball team but not many girls play softball in HS. Cheerleading is probably the hardest. Lot girls cheer in HS, but college squads is like going from HS to the big leagues. They’d have as good of chance trying out for the Laker Girls. About a 1 in 250 chance you get picked for D1 cheerleading. I knew lot of girls in college that wanted to do it and got cut even tho they could perform everything required. It’s really a subjective politically motivated business.

On the contrary, if and only if, one has height.

Coaches are clinging to and signing kids from AAU even if you have little/limited talent.

Also, women's collegiate gymnastics. When my daughter started at age 5 until 18 when she entered college via partial scholarship, there have been 6.5 million girls during that span. Currently, there are only approximately 80 colleges at the NCAA level (not club gymnastics which is extremely competitive and reserved for girls who couldn't quite make it to NCAA level but still excellent gymnasts) with approx 15 girls per team (80 schools x 15/squad) leaves just 1200 female gymnasts competing nationwide at the highest level except for Olympics.

ok, now for the reality answer

football is hardest, you have to toss out straight numbers, doesnt matter if fb passed out 500 ships and every other sport 10, it's still not close...the reason is competition

every kid in the country that can run without tripping or too small to wear a helmet plays football from a young age (yes that's changed recently over faggotry but still), every league in the country has 1 kid the locals think is barry sanders cause he ran for 3k yards his sr year and won't even sniff an offer

cfb has camps where 300 of these local stars go to try and earn an offer, 290 are completely outclassed and never think about it again, 5 get pitt/rutgers offers, and 5 are actual players

once they get to college, if the coaches were wrong and he sucks, well he gets processed and the ship is gone

easiest - who cares, some title IX nonsense that fb pays for

Ya, no doubt about it. Even at the D2 ranks you have teams filling their rosters with girls that shoot damn near 100.
