on top of that, every kid on the golf team are the only ones that care about golf, meaning the competition is virtually 0 when compared to football or another sport that kids care about slightly

however, mens golf is all politics and not skill unless you are top 100 in the world as a junior (and many of those rankings rely on AJGA and similar which are high fees, hotels, travel, etc which is all about money)

ok my daughter played was going to play d3 ball they didnt have her major so she doesnt play anymore. her friend was a top 25 prospect on long island and she didnt get 1 offer from a d2 or d3 school. so its not as easy as you seem to think.

First off there is plenty of competition in golf, more now than ever. Many schools recruit the whole planet these days and there are far less scholarships for golf out there to get than other team sports. I would agree that the women's side, like I posted in agreement earlier, is the one that has far less competition as many D2 schools have a hard time filling their rosters and are willing to take damn near any girl they can get.

How is the number of scholarships and the number of schools that have the sport not matter? It makes zero sense. It is basic math. If there are thousands of more scholarships available across the nation for a sport over another than it makes it that much more probable to get a scholarship if you are above average between the sports. You bitch about us not giving you info backing up the claim but then pretend it isn't important now that it doesn't back your claim.
