Croatia was +3300 before the tournament started. France +650 so keep that in mind.

Croatia have one disadvantage. Playing today and playing all that extra time. They have more mental fortitude. France is more talented but they just don't look like champions to me. World cup produces a first time winner every 20 years. Maybe it's Croatias time.

Already pounded France @ 1.95 as soon as the line came out.

It has nothing to do with who I think the better side is. Playing 3 games in a row of 120+ minutes, with one less day to rest. Soccer players may be some of the greatest athletes in the world, but fatigue is still real.

Wasn't easy money at all. Who would have thought 2 own goals and a free penalty for France.

I listened to many former French national players who criticize this French team for playing a conservative style. And I agree with them.

In the end "Transition" counterattack game plan won France being the most disciplined and having the best players (speed of Mbappe) for this transition approach style...still credit for their execution though. José Mourinho would be proud. LOL

If the World Cup was a league set-up. Croatia would end higher on the table.

No way if I was a book I would make the team who goes for counterattacking strategy from the get go a favorite. Let alone a -0.5 favorite.
