Mo Speights put up 50 in a game in China. This is a league that plays less defense than the NBA.

his style of play was just all wrong for his skill set when I saw him play years ago in the league, was too selfish and too slow and unathletic to play the way he did with the knicks. he should have been more of a distributor and shoot when he was open he'd have stuck around longer instead of trying to drive one on one in this league and take guys off the dribble

He has a hard time creating his own shot. To slow to beat guy's off the dribble and not athletic enough to shot over players in the NBA.

Jimmer brought his sharks team all the way back from 20+ down in the sec half, scoring 75 points in reg (no overtime’s. He had 40 in the fourth alone, and 60 after halftime) he shot a whopping 24 for 34 overall from the field and 7 for 10 from deep. He also went 20 for 21 from the stripe. The stat sheet staffing didn’t start there. He also had 8 reb 7 assist and 4 steals... the way he performed in the sec half made the NBA look silly for not having this guy be a part of things... he hit what looked to be a game winner with five sec left for the Sharks only lead of the night. But Pierre Jackson got loose for a fairly open three at the buzzer and ruined the other wise perfect game...

"After rising to collegiate superstar status with his long-range-bombing exploits at BYU, the Sacramento Kings were eager to capitalize on the box-office appeal of “Jimmermania,” selecting Fredette with the No. 10 pick in the 2011 NBA draft. (One spot ahead of Klay Thompson, five spots ahead of Kawhi Leonard and 20 spots ahead of Jimmy Butler."

"An NBA assistant coach who had worked with Fredette told Michael Lee of Yahoo Sports that Jimmer’s problem was that, even after five years in which he never approximated his college stardom, he remained committed to trying to play the way he did at BYU:
“Jimmer thinks everybody is stupid,” said an NBA assistant who worked with Fredette. “He thinks everybody needs to come and just turn over their offense and let him shoot it anytime he wants. That’s not how the league works.” […]
“He won’t adjust his game for it,” he said. “He’ll tell you, ‘This is what I did at BYU.’ Well, BYU, that’s a long time ago.”

Jimmer Fredette’s stint with the Phoenix Suns is a wrap.

After playing just six games with the Suns at the end of last season, the shooting guard will play on Golden State’s summer league roster, Warriors assistant general manager Larry Harris said in an interview with KGMZ-FM in the Bay Area.

Fredette signed a two-year deal with the Suns in March after starring overseas for the Shanghai Sharks of the Chinese Basketball Association.

He was slated to make $1.9 million in the second year of his contract, had the Suns picked up his option after making $198,580 for the 2018-19 season, according to Spotrac.com.

The Suns are clearly not picking up that option.

Fredette averaged 36.8 points per game over three seasons in China and looked to take advantage of a second chance in the NBA after initially entering the league in 2011 as the No. 10 overall pick. He fizzled out of the NBA in five seasons.

Things didn’t go according to plan with the Suns.

Fredette played just six games, averaged only 3.7 points per game on 27.6% shooting and missed all 13 of his 3-point attempts. He shot just 27.6% from the field.

He struggled to find a rhythm and get shots off as defenses made it tough for the 6-foot-2, 195-pound guard — although he looked much smaller in person.

Panathinaikos have offered him a deal. He hasn't played in Europe before... I suspect he'd struggle because Euroleague players that have dipped their toes in the NBA (Teodosic, DeColo, Rogridguez) have fared much better at it than him.

Hopefully he takes the leap, and we will see what he's made of.

You would think he could stick around as a spot up shooter.

So he has a big night against a team that cannot compete against 5 guys in any BB court in America, including the playground courts, and his team still loses. If I am him, I am grabbing the highest offer no matter where it is.

    LOL

Joel Prysbella dumped 50 + on me and my squad.

    I fouled him 5 times in 2:40

He blocked one of my shots into the 8th row of the bleachers.

I feel your pain but those incidents do make great stories!
