    Who likes Nit quarters?

I don't. These announcers praise it. Halves rules I like better. 7 bonus 1 and 1 then double bonus. More up and down runs in the halves.

Come on people don't allow this change.

I like to spank it at intermissions so this just grants me more opportunities. I'm in favor of.

I'm not in favor of it either because I think scoring will be down due to playing 4 Quarters. The only change I like is them moving back the 3 point line. Teams shoot too many 3's now and the midrange game is a lost art.

This. Playing 4 quarters pointless unless 12 min.

You guys are strange! Its amazing.....mens college basketball is the only level anywhere that plays brutal halves. I would much prefer watch basketball then free throw shooting contests. Unreal guys would rather see the game decided at the line.

I’m not in favor of adding any of the experimental NIT rules, hate the 4 quarters. The three point line I’m afraid will make college basketball harder to watch, especially for the viewers they are trying to bring in. For the legit shooting guards in college, the move back has no impact as they have range from anywhere. For others, I think there is a steep drop off as the distance makes a difference. I like the 1 and 1, and pressure it puts on players at the end of a games.

College basketball wants to increase scoring, I don’t think having players focus on the mid-range game is going to accomplish that as they are not good enough shooters. If they do implement these rules, I think they need to adjust the shot clock down and figure out how to handle the TO’s in the 2Q and 4Q.

These rules will get implemented, no question about it! And probably as early as next year.

NCAA officials realize we need more basketball, more flow, and less of guys standing on the free throw line making for a pretty sh!tty viewing experience.

Why is that Otters? They are still playing 20 minute halves, just split into quarters. I love that the fouls reset after the first quarter. Nothing worse then grabbing 6 fouls in the first 3 minutes, and the other team is shooting free throws every single foul.

What difference does it make. I turned on a game and sat through commercials. They came back to action and guy gets fouled and they go straight to more commercials. I turned it right off.

Really threw me off looking through some live bets on Sunday, thought a game was in the 2nd half when it was still the 2nd qtr. Like Regul8er brings up, the big difference is in the foul adjustments.

It will change guys....and like I said, more then likely it will happen next year.

High school plays quarters, Womens NCAA does, NBA does, International does....NCAAB is in the stone ages, and they are making the adjustment.

What about the fukking shot clock tho? These kids get like five minutes before they're required to get the ball somewhere in the neighborhood of the rim. I understand the college game is a bit unrefined but they're not handicapped. Make a move.

One thing that stood out quite a bit to me with playing quarters was the loss of any kind of surging momentum. Teams no longer can sustain pressure for an entire half without a break every 10 min in between..

not it to mention TV timeouts

I do love the 3 pt line being pushed back. Shoot it as professionals do. Simple.

Quarters makes it way easier to live bet. Very hard for a team trailing to come back with the quarter system. There's no 1 and 1 FTs with quarters. It's all 2 FTs after the 5th foul. So if you are up by 9 or 10 points with 5 minutes left, it nearly impossible to lose unless you have a bunch of turnovers.

That's one of the reasons there's very few big come backs in the NBA in the final 4 minutes. They don't have the 1 and 1 FT system.
