    Poole's three pointer

Top 10 all time tournament clutch shots of all time.
Kid is just a freshman, he was well defended, and got nothing but nylon.

    Well done young man.

I am ok with the passer not being guarded - he will never get the ball back. That defender has got to get to the destination of the ball on time as the free safety.

It is criminal not to defend the inbound pass. UM got a free runner facing the basket that opened up the shot. You defend the pass and most likely there's a turnover in that spot. Dumb, dumb, dumb. and Sampson wants some of my AAU boys to come to his camp. LOL

I totally agree. Putting one guy on the inbounder is invaluable. It is huge. I would argue that it would be a great strategy to surprise the inbounder (with no time outs) with two guys guarding the pass. It would be nearly impossible to get it in play.

That was what I said after seeing the replay. Smacked pretty solid after the release. Can't say I've ever seen a split legged 3 like that to crush dreams.

I'd say no. I bet on Michigan and really wouldn't have been mad at an offensive foul. All basketball should be changed (they did change this rule already but never enforced) if a shooter makes any abnormal non shooting motion especially to draw contact should be offensive. He definitely kicked his legs out abnormally to draw contact, which by letter of law, 2 years ago was changed to be an offensive foul.

Rules the same in college this one just had a video that was almost identical to the play in discussion that was correctly called offensive. End of the game, id say don't call that either way

There was not a foul. Dude purposefully kicked his legs out and may have purposely hit Davis with his hands to try and draw a foul in case he missed. The defense was about as good as it gets in that scenario.

    Great Play!!
Avoided O.T. and kept my 2H under 72 intact and easily hit the Full-game under,
Can't believe the Houston missed 3 of their last 4 free throws.
But I was happy to see Blue advance.

*You definitely guard the inbound pass. Stupid.

Jordan Poole is the talk of the college basketball world on Sunday morning after his amazing buzzer beater to take down Houston in the second round of the NCAA tournament. But you probably didn’t know he hit the EXACT same shot in high school.

The three on the wing with an off-balance, split-legged jump that left him on the ground when the shot fell — it’s all the same. It’s so close it’s really pretty eerie. Look, credit where it’s due: Not many teams would have the confidence in the freshman to put the ball in his hands in the final seconds to keep their NCAA tournament dreams alive, but Poole showed he can drop this kind of shot, and he did.

In these situations you foul. No need to let the other team make a low percentage shot.

I think he was fouled... and if his shot did not hit this would be the biggest scandal for not getting a foul call.

Even high school kids know to guard the inbound on that play.

You cannot give up an uncontested pass to a man in motion because it allows then to hit the shot with rhythm.

Forget about the notion of kicking back to the passer, it's about forcing unbalanced or impractical shots at that point....with the opportunity to get a hand on the ball or in the view of the balls path.

Some guys are just destined to be college coaches forever....

I was going nuts after JP hit that show. Incredible shot.

This is what happens when you don't guard the in bounder. Michigan won a game earlier in the year against Maryland on a last second chance. Fforward to 4:21.

I agree Poole is a young star. That was not a circus shot - he has been making those shots all through HS. Clutch
