Leipzig have had a busy schedule this season with League , Europa and Cup games. Last years meteoric rise was due to some great efforts by a very youthful team. What they dont have is the depth that Bayern possess. Bayern have basically wrapped up the league title , had the luxury of blending in some players in Turkey mid week, having that nice 5 - 0 cushion in leg 1. A banged up Leipzig side , come back from a game at Zenit on Thursday , to face a rested and very healthy Bayern side ( Alcantara is back to full fitness again as well ). I realize that its an important game for Leipzig in order to maintain a spot in Europe next season , but they will be in dire straits after the first 30 minutes of chasing. Eventually, Bayern should be able to put this one away in style. I am still seeing Bayern -1 @ 1.82 at my books , but Bayern Half / Full looks like a decent play at 2.25 to 2.30.

I was looking hard at Atletic Bilbao +2 until i noticed that they were involved on Thursday in Europa. With all the absentees for Barca today, i just dont feel like giving all those goals to cover.

Spain ; Celta Vigo vs Malaga : 1:30pm

Its a tale of two cities. When Celta travel , they are average at best. When they defend home turf , they are capable of beating anyone. Luckily, today is against bottom feeder Malaga , so the field should be tilted today in Celta's favor. Although Iago Aspas is listed as a forward for Celta , he has carte blanche to roam the pitch and take control of a game. I still cant believe that his name wasnt mentioned during the transfer window in January. At roughly $12 million in transfer value , this guy was a bargain.

Portugal : Chaves vs Braga : 2pm

Head to head the past two years would suggest that this game would go under , since all 4 meetings were 2 or less goals combined. Since Braga were officially eliminated by Marseille in Europa , they have been making a big splash in league play. scoring 6 at Estoril and 5 at Guimaraes. Chaves arent exactly a goal scoring machine , but they did score against Sporting Lisbon last outing at home , and managed two against Estoril and 4 against Guimaraes. It just smells of a goal fest even though recent history suggests otherwise.

At first glance i had a hard time understanding why the generous price on Catolica , since they are on an 8 game winning streak. They are an early candidate for winning a top 2 spot in Primera League play , and have been extremely proficient at keeping clean sheets at home. In addition , Union Espinola are without the services of key midfielder Ramiro Carrera, and have lost the past 2 games in his absence. Depending on the official line ups , and the line by game time, this may warrant a larger play imo.
