Wow, that is a huge blow. He said right after the game that it was just a bruise and that he'd be okay. Must have been the adrenaline.

      auto play PURDUE

line will over-adjust and the opponent will not be prepared for the blitz

Yeah, they probably step up in the next game versus Butler but they are certainly going down against TT/UF winner.

Haas could actually play tomorrow if NCAA clears his brace and Purdue allows it.

Isaac Haas practiced w/@BoilerBall this afternoon. He had a brace on his fractured elbow. Brace needs to be cleared by NCAA. IF it is cleared, Purdue will have to decide if they allow him to play. He wants to play per Coach Painter. He will go through warmups tomorrow. @CBSSports

Oh great. Give a 7 foot behemoth a club arm to swing around. Nice job NCAA.

I think he is going to play - how art is it to get a brace approved - look at all the knee braces being used!

Can't let a kid play with a fracture. School won't allow it.... school would face a lot of liability.

I don't think Haas will play. But my gut tells me Purdue will roll. Same system play that works in the NBA - play the team missing the star for the first game. It covers 75%

Line opened -3.5 and has not budged. If Haas was healthy this line would be -6

This Purdue team is very experienced and I think they get it done

Kids play bball and football at every college with all types of injuries all the time. If doc clears him to play he can play.

If it's an "official" broken bone.... no doctor would allow an athlete to participate.

If it's just a "smoke screen" lie.... then he will play.

A sprained ankle... or dislocated finger is extremely minor. A broken bone is totally different. Come on Kraken... even you the nurse would know that.

I think oddsmakers already knew he was going to be OUT. Otherwise they would of never released opening line. Game would be off the board if the kid had a chance to play. Just from experience. -3.5 is a decent line

Bovada just moved to Purdue -4... of course... they are always a half point off the normal line.

I agree. But you wait until an hour before gametime and all of the talk about the game is that Haas the 7'3 freak leading scorer is out. The money will be pouring in on Butler because that is what dumb people do. The line will come down

I hate betting Purdue in March, but think I'm going to get suckered into it.

Butler isn't that great this season, and their coach isn't close to Stevens or Holtman.

Boilermakers do have a great backup center who is about as tall as Haas but is more mobile. I don't think they'll miss him as much as people think. In a way, it may work well for them. March is all about the guards. The offense willplay through the two Edwards kids rather than the post now.

Purdue came back.. Just as expected after a rough start..

Never a bad idea to Live bet better teams when they get down big early in games, chances are they will make a strong come back and tie it up and win... Goes for the NBA too..

Purdue was even odds on the money line with live betting when they were down 8 points early on...
