http://xpdrivers.com/realtek/_2_135928.cfm try that or this http://drivers.freedownload32.com/SO...dec-A3.86.html

Does any sound work at all? Are you sure computer is not on mute? Speakers are plugged in/on? Is it built in speakers or plug in speakers?

              Xp, Vista or win7?

just do an xp repair install. Follow the directions in the link and you won't lose any data and sound drivers will be re-installed.

Go to Start > Run and type

                              devmgmt.msc

Device Manager will open. Select Sound, video and game controllers. Post back to SBR everything that is listed there and whether there are red or yellow marks on any of the devices.

                              Then, go to this site:http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/...&GetDown=false

And download the Windows XP driver (A4.06)
