Turkey breast only: 9.4 lbs.
Soaked it in a buttermilk marinade last night: buttermilk, soy sauce, pepper flakes, chopped garlic, chopped ginger, ground pepper.
I'll cook the breast tomorrow with a honey/butter/vermouth glaze with a few rosemary sprigs thrown in for good measure.

Turkey is the worst part of thanksgiving dinner, everyone just slathers it in gravy and chokes it down
If you're going to deep fry it, thats fine. Best way to cook it, otherwise skip it and focus on more sides.

Best side is stuffing
Better than any potato or veg casserole
Stuffing is where you kill it on turkey day
Gravy close 2

My dad makes awesome homemade stuffing. My wife's mom makes Stove Top, which is alright.

I knew Sammy was sharp enough to get it!!
Far as turkey I don't have a clue. We having at my brothers this year and he smoking I'm sure a sizable bird. All I gotta bring pregame snacks, probably some baileys for morning coffee, and some type of beer.
Think I'm gonna try and bake a pie also tho! Banker a amazing cook but has just started experimenting with baking, made some incredible corn bread to go with chili today.

Shutey I'm sure they got meal covered, "pregame snacks" as in shit to eat while we watch football and hoops before the meal! Lol.. I got some salami and Loraine Swiss, will use left over chilli and make a chili cheese nacho sauce (been contemplating ideas on this all day, gonna be amazing!), might grabbed some nice aged cheddar 2marro, maybe some shrimps or something, and of course booze!
I will and you do the same buddy!!

Deep fried is freaking good tho!
I've tried about every way to cook a bird, even cooked one upside down once, fukked up skin but made the breast meat incredibly juicy!
Have to say smoked right is my fav but takes forever, my brother the meat smoker in the family (lmao).

In order to deep fry
Gotta get proper equip
Need to be outside
Can not attempt this inside
Need a large surface area of heat and a large bucket
This not to be taken lightly
Hang the bird on a hanger and submerge into hot oil for 2 hours.
