What are the odds this is false? Set up for a pay off...?
Will we see any video footage?
Will they confess?
Will they actually go to jail?

Why should he if they have proof and openly display it and the sentence follows their countries laws so be it

those are some terrible numbers. how does a guy that score over 30 points only average 1.2 assists, 1.7 rebounds, 0.7 steals, and 0.1 blocks per game? this just means he plays no defense, doesn't hustle, and is a ball hog.

If standard practices are applied, the three UCLA basketball players – including LiAngelo Ball – arrested Tuesday in mainland China under suspicion of shoplifting face between three and 10 years in prison if convicted, according to Chinese lawyers who briefed Yahoo Sports on the applicable laws. The sentencing guidelines could shift depending on the amount that the Chinese could prove was allegedly stolen.
The three men could even be detained for more than a month without American-style bail before local prosecutors even decide whether to press charges, one expert said.

"According to The Washington Post, Chinese prosecutors have a 99.9% conviction rate. Just as discouraging, according to the Handbook of Chinese Criminology, “almost all [convicted defendants] receive prison sentences.”

That article also mentions ways they might get things reduced, including diplomatic channels, but China wants to show they give equal treatment to foreigners.
It could get interesting.

Lock em up I say in China if found guilty..
Stupid is what stupid does.. Only way you learn in life is by being punished for the a crimes you commit.. Sit and think in prison.. Sometimes people don't even learn then..

Yeah, I was wondering how Lavar was going to sound.
I figured he'd say something like "We wouldn't even be talking about China if it weren't for LiAngelo. I created LiAngelo!!!! Stay in yo lane!!"
