Colin Kaepernick has filed a grievance against NFL
Quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who has been without a team since severing his contract with the 49ers in March, has filed a grievance against NFL owners for collusion under the collective bargaining agreement.

"Free-agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick has filed a grievance under the latest collective bargaining agreement against NFL owners for collusion, according to his attorney, Mark Geragos.Kaepernick is not going through the NFL Players Association but has instead hired Geragos, who has represented several high-profile clients, including Michael Jackson, former NASCAR driver Jeremy Mayfield and musician Chris Brown."

Hey Colin, hate to tell you buddy but dipfvcks like you who get cut have no basis for a grievance. You are however entitled to a box of Kleenex. Sure some landscaping gig will open up.

Mark Geragos is his attorney. That guy will take anything that gets him in the news.

Should just sign with some Lib channel, or newspaper. Write some piece that dipshits eat up.

Do some speeches at campuses about how oppressed he is.

It is interesting that if collusion is found, the entire CBA is voided.

Owners would be able to rewrite entirely new CBA without giving players time to prep for a strike or lockout....

Very interesting, NFL maybe better off with admitting guilt, paying KAP $10million, and dumping the CBA

You sure about that? In any case I would bet decent money this goes no where and he is given no standing. He doesn't even have a coherent allegation. He will have to actually allege something coherent to gain even the narrowest of standing and even if he does the discovery will be limited and sealed. This is more of a hype stunt for a book deal.

Maybe not, but there are plenty of idiots out there that would buy it.

As far as the lawsuit having any teeth and going anywhere, Mark Geragos is all you need to know.

It's not going to get traction and likely to be dismissed on summary judgment.

That said, it does give owners an opportunity to break CBA and weaken the union more AND gives Kap a possible biography, book, tv deal AND keeps his physcho girl relevant in their social circles.

This is the NFL, you never know what a catch is, what a fumble is, what a tuck is or what collusion is!

Al Michaels just had to apologize for saying the Giants had a worse week than a certain someone in Hollywood (Weinstein) and he didn't even say his name. Wonder what libtarded tv executive told him to do that?

Don’t the owners already rape the players cba wise? Nfl players have it the worst out of the major sports

Threads like these are funny as hell. Btw, he didn't get cut and that would've made his case better as he actually opted out of his contact. Also, he filed the grievance under CBA and if he wins, that doesn't allow NFL to opt out of CBA. Nevertheless, he won't win and it reminds me of Barry Bonds filing grievance as no team signed him in 2007-08(?). MLB defense was teams get to choose who they want to sign.

Take some advice from Mike Vic, cut your hair man if you're serious about football.

Guy lost all credibility in my book when he said he'll stand for the anthem if soneone would just hire him. Yet somehow he is still their posterboy.

If you wanna make a difference become a cop in the hood and don't kneel during the Anthem and where pig socks to piss off half of America..

Now he's out of a job and nobody wants him, mostly because he's not that good anymore...

Those fat NFL checks have stopped coming in, bills are piling up now for Kaep, big house payment is looking really big right about now.. Time to sell the fancy cars and drive a Prius.. File bogus lawsuits and hope to hit the jack pot... Worth a try...

                                                  That's what I see happening..

After all, he was 1-10 as a starter last year, not quite averaging 200 yards/game passing in a pass happy league, with a coach that was supposed to be a perfect fit for him. Obvious collusion!

This will be a very interesting case.

I'm really surprised his attorney decided on the key word "collusion". And not sue for "other" reasons.

The only thing I can think of... is that they have some dirt on the NFL and owners in which the public isn't aware of.

Personally... let's face it... Kaep isn't working because he would put too much (media) attention towards that team... in an unfootball like sense. I'm sure a few owners talked about it... word got out. Nobody wanted to take a chance on him.

No owner wants to deal with that.

Kaep and attorney probably hoping for an out of court settlement.

Yes, in short the owners consistently win these battles, but the game is under more pressure and scrutiny than ever when you look at concussion costs, long term care costs with that, cable TV subscriber numbers down, etc....

It would give them a 2 year advantage to put into place a new profit algorithm.

Article 17 SS16 (C) The CBA is voided, in its entirety, by proof of one incident of collusion.

Most CBA have similar clauses, I did negotiations (for management) vs Teamsters 792 in MPLS for years.

The big question is why he wants to void the agreement as I would suspect, similar to hockey years back, the money get rolled back a bit in the next agreement. Only thing I can think of is he wants to void every other cobtract signed by QBs after the date of his "proof of collusion" so he can openly compete again.

He will piss off every player and future teammate in the league!
