Charles (Chuck) Low, who played Morris (Morrie) Kesseler in the famous flick “Goodfellas” alongside his good friend Robert De Niro died on Sept. 18.

    He was 89.

Low — a New York City real estate developer — got into the acting business after De Niro became one of his tenants in a Tribeca loft. Their friendship later blossomed into Low’s most exciting role as an actor, in which he starred alongside De Niro in “Goodfellas.”

He also landed roles in “The Mission,” “King of Comedy,” “Once Upon a Time in America,” “Scent of a Woman” and “The Sopranos,” according to his obituary published in the New York Times.

The late actor was first and foremost a military veteran. He served 30 years as a reserve in the U.S. military and four years on active duty.

Low then spent eight years in the National Guard before entering the family business — developing and manufacturing all lines of marine instruments.

In the 1960s he decided to get his brokerage license and began converting industrial buildings in Tribeca into lofts.

His final acting role was in the 2003 film “Kill the Poor.”

But his best-known performance is certainly as Morrie, a wig salesman, who faced an unfortunate whacking at the hands of Joe Pesci's character Tommy DeVito with a screwdriver to the back of the head in Martin Scorsese’s classic movie.

Low, a New York native, passed away in his sleep at Allendale Nursing Home in New Jersey. A private funeral with full military honors was held two days later.

Anyone remember that $250 MILLION dollar lawsuit he filed against the SIMPSONS for saying Fat Tony or some character was based on him!
