How many times has he lost by 1 possession? Seems like every week. Guy just can't catch a break.

for the last 2 years i think not including this one, its crazy. Usually ends with a pick in the end zone or half way up the field

Put Rivers on a team like Denver with a good running game and stellar defense and he probably wins a championship... Put him on this weak asss Chargers team that can't run the ball and or really protect him from the pass rush and he doesn't make the playoffs..

Rivers when given time and pass protection is decent.. He ain't no Dan Fouts though of years past..

Giants would be much better with him over the slow child. Look at manning on sidelines...he has no emotion and appears to be in twilight zone.

The Chargers have now lost 9 in a row, going back to last season. They are also 0-8-1 ATS. Their new coaching staff is just terrible. And they get to go to New York next week and play another team with a older good QB and is 0-4. The Giants.

I worked at qualcom it all started when Brees went back to pass in the end zone last game of the season
must have been 2005, then he really injured his shoulder. Then they got rid of him.
My game plan in 2007 was trade Tomlinson to Detroit for the #1draft pick and pick up
    Adrian Peterson. Chargers suck

this is the worst team of chargers history this year

So true, every week for years same thing. Sometimes he comes back most of the time not, but his teams always seem to have to make a comeback in order to win the game.

i've never been a fan of rivers he has one of the weakest arms in the league the guy can't throw the ball 40 yards in the air all he can do is short passes, he whines all the time he is terrible in the 2 min drill they will actually put this bum in the hall of fame too

Perception. Brady or Rogers cries, they're fierce competitors. Rivers, he's a crybaby. Guy wants to win. Career 64% completion percentage, 2/1 td/int. ratio, 94 qb rating. Had he played for the Bengals they'd probably won a fuk'n playoff game. Texans (pre-Watson), Dolphins, Jets, my Bucs, the list goes on and on. All would have been light years better with Rivers. Who gives a fuk what his throwing motion looks like, it gets the job done.

when u throw the ball 5 yards down the field tend to get high completion pct, philip rivers is so over rated it's not even funny this guy throws so many ints and so shitty leading a 2 min drive if it's 3rd and 15 they have no shot cuz he can't throw the ball 20 yards in the air they will put him in the HOF too which is sad guy is an AVERAGE qb in the league, yes AVERAGE

Settle the fuk down, wasn't knocking you guys. Just saying he's been a better qb than you think. Not everyone can be the greatest, doesn't mean he sucks. Of active qbs he's #6 in yards per completion so no, he doesn't just throw 5 yd passes. There's 15-20 teams that would take him right now. That's all I'm saying. Last I knew qb's don't play defense or kick field goals.

that's absolute BS u can not name 15-20 teams that would take him unless u are talking about holding a clip board, please name 15-20 teams that would take him as a starting qb

I don't think he sucks, just think he a baby and his throwing motion is ugly! I defend him a lot, I agree lots of teams be thrilled w him. I don't think he real bright for a qb and he kinda a hick but still plenty good enough at his job.

Jeezus dude, take a breath. Hyperbole to make a point. As a starter right now, off the top of my head:

    Bills
    Dolphins
    Jets
    Ravens
    Bengals
Browns (granted, they'd take anyone at this point)
    Jaguars
    Texans (obviously due to injury)
    Colts
    Broncos
    Vikings
    Packers (injury, same as Texans)
    Cardinals
    Niners

You got me, missed by one.

Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers will become the fourth quarterback in NFL history to make at least 200 consecutive regular-season starts when Los Angeles travels to Seattle.
