From what I can tell, Bryant would be the first player in a major sport
(the big 4) to ever have 2 jerseys retired by the same club.
Chamberlain has the most jerseys retired at 3 - playing for all 3 clubs.
Fairly obvious here that if Kobe had any respect for other players
or a slightly smaller ego, he would insist on one number to be retired,
which is what every other HoF player from all sports has done so far,
of course this is common because players switch jerseys.
Unfortunately, Kobe's ego is so greedy that he must have both

Should have done 45 for Jordan also. This is just a publicity stunt because their franchise sucks right now. They are even doing it against the Warriors, instead of a team they might actually have a chance at beating. Who knows. They'll probably even have Lavar Ball speak that night, talking about how Kobe was the greatest Laker up to the point when Lonzo came along.Comment -

Never really liked Kobe but I dont mind this because of the imprint the numbers have. For instance no matter who would wear either 8 or 24 for the Lakers you'd automatically be reminded of Kobe and probably think that person shouldnt be wearing it. He played so long, 20 years and wore each number for like 10 years each, if you only counted either his time wearing 8 or 24 he'd still prob be in the HOF.Comment -
