OMG - targeting called on Indiana vs Virginia
Indy Defensive tackle comes around the rush and sacks the QB which get's scooped up and scored for an Indy TD. Refs call a bullshit targeting call on him. How else is he supposed to sack the QB? He's ejected and kicked out of the 1st half of the next game and points taken off the board. So instead of 34 - 10, they overturn the TD and give Virginia the ball 1st and goal and they punch it in. 27 - 17 now and Virginia is back in the game. What a horseshit call.

Targeting penalty the most subjective rule of all time.

I didn't see the play yet. For them to call that, the player had to either launch himself at the QB, lead with the helmet, or hit the QB above the shoulders. If he did any of those 3 things, it is a good call. If he did none of those 3 things, then they got fukked!

He bear hugged him on the sack, which meant he hit the QB from the waist up. He did not lead with the helmet. Horrible call. Might as well put on skirts.

Wow. They're bringing all of this back for targeting. No touchdown, and Greg Gooch is ejected. That's a wild turn and hard to explain. #iufb

Thank God, Indy was able to score again. This would have been a gut wrenching bad beat.

But, these damn refs should have to give an account for their bullshit. No flag was called on the play and then replay comes out of nowhere and comes up with that shit.

Targeting needs to be taken out of the hands of the on field officials.

Make it something where it's reviewed by a committee after the game and if they deem it targeting they suspend the guy for the next game or whatever they want to do.

Too many games get decided by this dumb rule.

2 guys going full speed, you go for the guys chest and he lowers his shoulder and suddenly your hitting him in the end, how can a defender avoid that.
