So she has a chance to let everyone know what is happening there and maybe get some others to help if they can by telling what she has been through but instead makes herself look like a total bitch. I can see people starting to take their wallets out the 1st couple minutes thinking i gotta help these people then putting them back in saying screw you lady.

She is perfectly normal giving a good account of what is going on there and out of the blue turns into a raving bitch. And so she is of color what does that have to do with anything? If she was white i would have said the exact same thing. I guess it is my fault she is black . If she did not want to give an interview then just say that before giving one normally for a good minute with no issues. The lady giving the interview did nothing wrong she was polite at all times.

I look at it as she was trying to put on a brave face initially out of respect but that her true emotions came pouring out shortly after. I can only imagine what her situation was at that moment. She must have been emotionally exhausted and I don't blame her.

I also don't blame the reporter too much either. She saw how upset the lady was and immediately backed off. She looked genuinely apologetic.

It looked like bad timing is all. But considering how CNN has been as of late, its easy to dump on them. Perhaps it might not be fair to in this case. Maybe just a little.

A little harsh towards the reporter i think he was. Making it sound like she was Satan. I thought she was pretty gentle the whole time. Probably could have said lets get you some food or something though.A great chance though wasted by letting others know what she was going through and asking for help would have been great if she would have said Please help us any way you can and then at the end this guy shows that donation place like he did.

I did laugh at the Jesus reference . I pictured Trump walking on water towards all the people saying "I have come to save you all ".

I also think the reporter was just totally shocked and confused and had no idea wth was going on or what to do. Like "Do i take the mike away or will it offend her that i may not want to hear what she says. I think she was totally blindsided.I do think though when she said they have not eaten as she was giving the interview she could have sent someone to get food or look into it for her as she was talking to her. But she may have just not put the pieces together that way.

It is very awkward and might piss you off seeing some rescuers with camera's looking for carnage to your family and property. It has been a mad house of rescue personnel trying to rescue people out of houses. There had to be more rescuers than people needing rescue today. In fact we had some rescuers that had to get rescued today. I've had at least a couple dozen rescuers ask me... "Do you need to be rescued". "no thank you, I'm okay". It's like they are trying to gain a badge by rescuing the most people. One camera crew kept interviewing responders that came from around the country. They kept asking them, "so how many people did you rescue today"? What number of lives did you save? It's like they were trying to pump up how many people needed rescuing. Which motivates people to go find more people to rescue. I think eventually the authorities told rescuers that they had to leave because it was a hazard with all the boats, helicopters, etc. Somehow that turned into a rumor that the dam was going to break and everyone had to get out of the area immediately, else drown. All the while, I'm watching a live feed of a guy near the dam paddling a kayak. Give me a break. That at least got rid of every Tom, Dick and Harry with a pontoon boat out there thinking they were Navy Seals.

Looking at that video, I fully understand going through 5 days of hell, many of us have but that doesn't excuse you to be a fukking angry black woman. She went totally off script and had a mental incident. When people ask you to be interviewed, just politely decline. Now, I will say that it is hilarious how the reporters always seem to find the most crazy person on the block to interview. It's been pure comedy watching the local news, which I usually never do.

I'd like to know more about this lady and her experience because most people very thankful when they first come into a shelter. I wonder why she would be bitter that it took so long to be rescued when she should share some of the blame. I haven't ever seen a response to a national disaster like the people of Houston. People have come together in remarkable ways. People have been flooding in donations of time, money and clothing. This same location this lady is at had 3,000 people lined up early morning to help the 9,000 inside. Think about that for a minute. That's 1 worker to help every 3 neighbors in that shelter. Most of the shelters in Houston are being overwhelmed in gifts where they have to stop receiving them. I heard one shelter say that they could not take any more money??? When have you ever heard that before? It is truly amazing.

Corporations are working with the city to help people displaced as well as their employees. I am shocked the amount of money these companies have committed and what they are doing for their employees with cash money upfront, no interest loans, uplifts for daily food and even hotel stipends. This city fukkin rocks.

People covering their face. They don't have to be interviewed. I have seen plenty say no. It must be annoying for many, but they are never forced into it. She sat there to say what she said. When it was nothing substantial. Better off flipping off the camera.

I can understand the frustration down there, and wish I could help. Just can hope that you folks down there stay safe, and get what you need. It seems to be going pretty well for one of the biggest natural disasters in US history, but it isn't over. Years to go.

Eh, the media is a bunch of toolbags, good for this chick. Every fukkin camera person and reporter wants to be in a boat. In the height of the storm there were a lot of people in trouble, the didn't give a shit about how much room was in the boats, just that they could get their shots. They don't care how much people lost - the more disasterous it is, the more people tune in, the better their ratings are. They love shit like this. They would probably be thrilled if it happened every day. CNN (and 90% of other networks for that matter) couldn't get a damn less.
