Today's Lighter Glove Ruling Favors McGregor

The Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC) approved Wednesday a “one-time” waiver to allow Mayweather and McGregor to wear lighter gloves than boxing rules dictate for their Aug. 26 fight in Las Vegas.

The motion passed unanimously to let the matchup be contested with 8-ounce gloves, rather than 10-ounce ones that the regulations state.

The glove size argument started two weeks ago on Instagram when Mayweather posted that he wanted to give McGregor an advantage in the fight by reducing the glove size. McGregor, the UFC lightweight champion, wears 4-ounce gloves for MMA. McGregor responded that he didn’t really care either way what the size gloves were.

Gives a slightly better chance of a lucky KO. Barely. Still, he's not winning. I hope the books bring Floyd to win down a bit now. They are already giving a gift, but could be the gift that keeps on giving. Hell, bare knuckle boxing if I can get Floyd at a better number.

Don't much matter what size the glove is when mcgregor won't be hitting him.

Floyd has ducked the best competition his entire career then plays games to mess up the opponents training on top of it. Similar to lebron wanting the best players on his team all the time

I hear ya I'm getting pretty burnt on bases. I usually take little time off after the asb then come back for football but kept going this year and honestly sick of capping it. Lol. So much so I made 3-4 preseason plays last week and probably wil again, lol.

Of course not. Funny how nobody talks about that, no negatives discussed with Conor, youd think he's the boxer and Floyd's the mma fighter.
