Sounds like Tannehill might be done.

    Might need season-ending surgery.

Doesnt make a lot of sense that he didn't have the surgery needed to repair his knee after he hurt it last year.

Have thought about this. Dolphins off a Playoff season, but how much credit do u give to Tanne?

Would u rate a healthy Tanne as Above-Avg starting NFL qb?

The season win totals on the Dolphins is currently 7.5 .
Could be wrong but I say it drops .5 game at most if he's out for the season and it's Moore as QB.

Good post. Yep, don't think # would move too much. Dolphins a playoff team last season, so they're not going to slash the hell out of the #.

    My 2-cents on potential replacements:
    * I actually like Cutler as a one-year stopgap, as long as Jay shuts his mouth. Knows Gase, it would work.
    * Kaepernick would be a huge mistake. Guy is done.
    * Wanna know a guy who would be a real coup...

...Tony Romo! In back of my mind, I've always thought that Tony didn't think he was done. Take a broad-casting gig? Hey, that means you're 1st in line to take QB job after injury. Same for cutler, but Romo is better.

I honestly think there are many Dolphin fans even if they like Tanny would be ok with Moore.

Just copied a piece of an article on backup QBs

I have always felt that Matt Moore deserves an opportunity to compete for a starting job, especially given his past success. In 24 career starts, Moore has gone 18-6 ATS (+11.57 units won) which makes him one of the most profitable quarterbacks in our database. Based on his track record, it’s easy to understand why oddsmakers would be hesitant to adjust the spread if Ryan Tannehill goes down.

Nice info on Moore. I do remember him taking down Patriots as DD Home Dog.

Matt Moore was decent years in the past but he's 32 now and the Dolphins are built to throw the ball down the field with Parker and Landry - Moore's skill set is as a game manager and that doesn't fit. Cutler fit with Gase very well in Chicago and if Cutler is on a one year deal you are going to get his best. Kapernick is a joke - this theory he's being black balled is stupid, anyone could have traded for him before last year and he kneeling, no one wanted him.

At the end of the day they weren't going to win the Superbowl with him or without him

Dolphins were a run heavy team last year. 5th most in the NFL.

That's because the offensive line was hurt and their second best receiver played in 4 games. If Parker and Landry are both healthy they will pass more than they run, their best players are receivers and Adam Gase is there to build the passing game.

ThoMorino, I'm of the opinion that the Dolphins might be a BET-ON team, once Tannehill is officially ruled out.

The adjustment will likely be too heavy. Talented roster, but the Fantasy FB players won't recognize the QB.

I don't think there is a big difference between Tannehill and Moore.

    What happened to Tannenhill?
It just turned August and he is about to be out for the season?

Chuckster you would really choose Jay 2 packs a day Cutler over Matt Moore? That's insanity pal. I'd rather have a motivated Kap over the clown Cutler as well. Romo is working on his golf game to attack the PGA, he is 100% not making a comeback for any NFL team.

Miami will be fine, Moore should've been the starter in the first place.

His dumb ass didn't take care of the injury after it happened last seeaon. Instead of getting the surgery and fixing the problem he choose to sit on his ass and hope i suppose.

I actually think they better off. Everyone can't hate on cutler all they want but he more talented than tanninhill and the narative that he isn't tough is asinine.
