                  Solid signing.

Magic and Rob are having a nice off-season.

He's a good defender who struggles to shoot over 40% from the field consistently - the Pistons were wise to not pay him 18 million. Try to win a championship with a center who can't be on the court in the final 2 minutes because he can't shoot free throws, a point guard who doesn't shoot, and a shooting guard who doesn't shoot well.

Wrong. Lakers no need to commit beyond and players working small contracts because cap going up next year.

Your missing the point - why would a player in their prime accept a 1 year deal if their was any real market for them - JJ Reddick just got 20 million and he's 34.

JJ Reddick is a proven shooter in a shooters league. With the 1 year deal pope can up his value with good work.

Dude he's been in the league 5 years - we know how good he is - this is what he got for his body of work a 1 year deal at amount that about the same as what the Lakers gave Luol Deng.

Okay. Let's see how he does. As a Laker fan I'm happy with the deal. It buys time for there younger players

Pope's agent is LeBron's agent and there is talk that they gave him a sweetheart deal so that the agent could get paid to help deliver LeBron. I think the kid is decent but I don't think he's commanding 20 mil a year on the open market for a multi year deal. Also waiving David Nwaba is not my favorite move but hopefully he clears waivers and they can re-sign him. It's one year so whatever - they can spend their money however they want and hopefully it's a fun product to watch.

Lebron's agent is loaded and this deal is fairly in line with the market - JJ Reddick got 20 million - I think that Lebron is probably good friends and like Caldwell-Pope, but don't see why the money in the deal would influence Lebron.
