You could win 105 games in a 162 game season and not have Game 7 at home because some reserve that fans voted in made or didn't make a play. The whole Selig All-Star Game experiment was asinine.

All star game is great! Especially deciding WS home field. I use to not like it, because best team/record should have had home in WS, but this makes it more interesting and you're getting all the best players usually trying hard to win. Fun for me to watch anyways, but I actually love the game too, not just betting on it, but the game itself.

Didn't a guy hit a homer a few years ago for one league to win the game, then he was traded to another league where he made the World Series and didn't have homefield due to his HR?

As a Cubs fan, I enjoyed the game having some meaning because we weren't making the World Series anyway. Of course this last year I learned quickly how selfish I was being and I'm glad they took that stupid shit away

Baseball as a whole is just not a great product anymore games are too long nobody speaks English on the teams very few superstars
