Since having a bitpay wallet is not a good idea to use for a bitpay debit card, what wallet do you guys recommend?

Stop making this so difficult for yourself. Many many people with no idea have got this hooked up with no problem.

BTW, if you sent 13 bucks worth of bitcoin instead of 10 to buy it... thats probably you adding more fees than was needed. But dont worry yet anyway, you will learn as you use the product. It's not complicated and you will get it fast once you start using it.

Once you have the card signup for a free independent wallet here: blockchain.info/wallet

When you withdraw from anywhere, use that independent wallet to receive it first. The blockchain.info one. Always use it as your main wallet.

When you want to put money onto your bitpay card send bitcoin to it's attached wallet from your blockchain.info wallet. Thats the only time and way you need to interact with the bitpay card's wallet. Just to load the card. Dont use the wallet for anything else but to receive bitcoin from your main blockchain.info wallet when you want cash to be available on the card.

The bitpay debit card is one of the most straightforward products there is there really is no way to fukk it up. Just make sure you're sending the correct amounts and everything will be smooth sailing

    It was just an opinion.

Furthermore, just keep the Bitcoin offshore. There will be offshore wallets (Not affiliated with the USA.) Plenty of merchants accept Bitcoin.
When you start converting the Bitcoin back to US Dollars... that's when the errors begin on the player's part.

Now... explain your opinion how you believe the US govt will shut it down?

If you heavily trade btc you will get tossed from main stream banks...no ifs ands or buts. I was a 29 yr client and was chucked.

But... banks like BkofAma will take some btc activity when the wires come from a licensed exchange like Coinbase or Bitstamp.

That's where we are going. Licensed = works (means US govt has access to all records) Unlicensed = no good for US guys

The US Fed simply tells the intermediary banks dont allow wires with unlicensed btc exchanges.

Bottomline is US govt is not going to allow any anonymity within the Fed manged US banking system.

independentreserve.com is a fully licensed Australian exchange. There would need to be a specific court order to get info from them and it would be a breach of trade agreements for any official order to not do business with them.

I'm sure there will be plenty of others in a similar legal position. Spread it about them and make it unlikely to be noticed as well.

My point is the Fed is not going to allow the US banking system to facilitate transfers unless these places agree to the know your customer protocol including info requests for anti money laundering.

Look at Bitfinex. They tried to slightly skirt the rules and the Fed said no more bank wires or transfers. Then their local banks got freaked out and before they knew it they found themselves without any banks.

The good news is even with kyc and anti ML crapola btc still thrives. It's not a negative except for those who once dreamed about an anonymous alternative currency.

Just stick with my credit card and bank. Why change? Stupid shit.
You can stick with it but the books won't because they can send you Bitcoin for free, and processing checks and ************ for an illegal offshore Sportsbook is a nightmare.

If you want to keep gambling online get into Bitcoin and your experience will be way way better
