Clippers window was closing anyway. Time to totally blow the team up.

Boston could land Griffin or Hayward (but not both).

I like watching him play but the way he throws his body around I would either not roll him out until January or be ready for him to be hurt every year when the playoffs come??? Tony Romo of basketball

He was going to opt out regardless if he stays with them or not. He can make so much more money with a new contract. This is nothing new.

Jerry West isn't keeping him. Clips will be blown up and Rivers will be fired in no time or told he can coach with no power.

Lakers are gonna be LA's team again, so the Clips can just drag their butts back to the basement of the Western Conference.

Surprised advocacy rights groups didn't pick up on this and he wasn't suspended??? The trainer was quick to throw 2 counter jabs. 1 at his nuts and the other at his ribs.
Everything is on tape these days. You can't get away with anything.

This isn't news. This is the same as Durant opting out this year too. It was going to happen regardless. We all knew he was going to opt out for more money, now the question is does he leave or stay.

Forward Blake Griffin will remain with the Clippers, Shams Charania of The Vertical tweets. After cancelling meetings with the Suns and Nuggets, Griffin and the Clippers have come to agreement on a five-year deal worth $173MM.
The two parties apparently finalized a five-year max deal during their meeting and Griffin didn’t feel the need to entertain offers from any other ball clubs. As Chris Mannix of Yahoo Sports explains, such a deal was likely so long as the Clippers were willing to fully commit to the 28-year-old power forward.
Per Brad Turner of the Los Angeles Times, the Clippers pulled out all the stops in their meeting with Griffin and the forward was impressed. With Chris Paul now out of the picture, this will mark the first time since his rookie year that Griffin is the focal point of Los Angeles’ offense. This, ESPN’s Jeff Goodman implies, could have increased the likelihood of a deal.

He won't play till December.
If they can get a small forward, it's not the end of the world.

I remember the good old days when the Clippers were a cellar team.. I'd scalp and get good 200 section seats for 15 bucks a pop.. Today those same Clipper tickets at the Staples are a benny a pop...
I don't think the Clippers are gonna be a basement team.. They got a rich owner, they'll make deals, but their core talent has walked.. They still have some players that can ball though..
